Dr. Williams has been in private practice in Orange County, California for 20 + years. His broad treatment experience includes a career as a U.S. Navy psychiatrist, sub-specializing in eating disorders. Subsequent to his naval retirement, Dr. Williams served as the medical director for several private psychiatric hospitals leading to his joining the staff at St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, California, where he is currently the Medical Director of Addiction Treatment Services and the Treatment of Eating Disorders. He is a founding member of the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals and he has extensive experience in the treatment of adolescents, as well as adults with eating disorders. Additionally, Dr. Williams is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of California Irvine School of Medicine, where he instructs psychiatric resident physicians in the treatment of eating disorders and addictions.
